We understand that it can be a stressful time for learners parents, teachers – indeed everyone involved in education at this time. We’ve pulled together the following information to help you find the support and assistance you need.
Hwb is the Welsh Government portal where you can find information about the curriculum for Wales and free educational tools and materials. It also has a host of useful information offering confidential help and support.
WJEC has a section on their website where you can get all the support you need – including access to wellbeing advice, and handy tips to help keep home-learning on track.
Mind Cymru has a dedicated web section containing information for young people aged 11-18. As one of the principal mental health organisations in the country, Mind understands your needs and is there to provide confidential advice and support.
Estyn has a dedicated section supporting wellbeing and learning during COVID-19, using examples provided by secondary schools across Wales.
Education Support understands that head teachers are under huge stress in responding to changing guidelines, whilst ensuring staff and students are safe. Welsh Government is funding the piloting of two types of wellbeing support for headteachers offering an online peer-to-peer support and individual supervision on a one-to-one basis by telephone delivered by accredited counsellors.
