Policy Officer

Band 3 – Salary range £29,850 - £36,500 per annum

In addition to salary we offer 30 days annual leave (in addition to public holidays and up to three days office closure at Christmas), flexible working arrangements and membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme.

Qualifications Wales is looking for a Policy Officer to undertake regulatory policy work that ultimately protects the interests of learners and promotes confidence in the qualification system in Wales.

The post holder will be reviewing, revising and developing our regulatory approaches, policies and procedures. This will include project working, researching, drafting, working on consultations, ensuring quality publications, as well as promoting the successful implementation of these policies.

Head of Corporate Governance

Band 5 – £49,625 - £59,350 per annum

The Head of Corporate Governance is responsible for ensuring that the organisation has in place, and can demonstrate, the highest standards of effective governance that are required of a public sector organisation. This involves ensuring the organisation has an effective governance structure in place to enable sound decision making. This includes the planning and administration of all Board, Committee and Executive management meetings - joining up the decision making, management of strategic risks, information flows, and assurance processes. This will support the culture, behaviours, systems and processes that exemplify a well governed and high performing organisation. 

The post holder is responsible for managing the controls and processes that provide the CEO as Accounting Officer with assurance that Qualifications Wales is fulfilling its statutory obligations and complying with relevant legislation.
